CCMC Education Scholarship Fund Policy
The CCMC Education Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to CCMC’s youth and regular attenders of CCMC. Applications are due by July 31, and disbursements will be made in January of the current school year. If your school has an earlier deadline for receiving funds from your church, please fill out this scholarship application according to that deadline.
Structure: The CCMC Education Scholarship Fund is a separate fund to which gifts may be designated. A small portion of the general budget will be contributed to this fund. It is understood this fund will be managed according to IRS guidelines. Applicants will be asked to complete this scholarship application form annually.
Applications: Applications are due by July 31, and decisions regarding disbursement will be made by August 14. Funds for approved scholarships will be requested in the next year’s budget, and checks will be mailed out by the first week of January. Note that this means students will receive scholarships in the middle of the academic year.
Disbursements: The amounts are up to $500/student/year. Students who attend Mennonite schools will receive an additional $250/year. Part-time students may receive prorated amounts. Some colleges will match these gifts. The amount given may be subject to the overall fund balance.
Eligible institutions: CCMC encourages students to attend schools whose missions are closely identified with that of CCMC. However, applicants may identify ways in which any school, seminary or degree program fits this description.
